7. Temperature Characteristics
- Max. conductor operating temperature (continuous): 90 °C
- Max. conductor temp. during short circuit (≤5 s): 250 °C
- Emergency overload temperature: 105 °C (limited duration, general XLPE practice)
- Min. ambient temperature during installation: 0 °C (below 0 °C requires pre-heating)
- Service ambient temperature range: −20 °C to +90 °C (sheath/environment)
- Flame retardant class: Category C, bundled flame test, self-extinguishing, limited flame spread per GB/T 19666
8. Mechanical & Installation Parameters
- Minimum bending radius (single-core unarmoured): ≥ 20 × overall diameter → ≈ 440–480 mm at Ø22–24 mm
- Maximum pulling tension (copper conductor only): 50 N/mm² × 185 mm² = 9250 N
- PVC sheath pulling limit: significantly lower — avoid direct sheath grip; use conductor pulling eye
- Direct burial: Allowed in non-aggressive soil without heavy impact; use sand bed + warning tape, deeper layout or conduit under roads
- Magnetic conduit warning (AC single-core): Must NOT be laid in magnetic steel pipe/conduit in AC circuits; use non-magnetic conduit or trefoil/flat arrangement to avoid eddy-current heating
- Elevation difference: No limitation for XLPE insulated cable.

9. Scope of Application / Usage Range
The ZC-YJV 0.6/1 kV 1×185 mm² cable is intended for fixed installation in low-voltage power distribution & transmission systems up to 1.2 kV system voltage, where basic flame-retardant (Class C) performance is required but fire-survival (fire-resistant) function is not mandated.
Typical applicable locations:
- Indoor power distribution rooms, switchboards, busbar risers in high-rise buildings
- Cable trays, cable ducts, cable trenches & shafts in commercial / residential buildings
- Fixed wiring in industrial plants, warehouses, light/medium machinery feeders
- Direct buried routes in non-aggressive soil with low mechanical impact
- Street lighting, PV inverter AC output / combiner circuits, EV fast-charger feeders (DC side requires polarity check)
- Metro/rail auxiliary power, stations, general civil engineering projects requiring ZC flame-retardant grade
Not suitable for:
- Heavy tensile / armour-protected routes → use YJV22 / ZC-YJV22
- Fire-survival emergency circuits → use NH-ZC-YJV
- Highly corrosive / hydrocarbon-rich environments without extra barrier
- Magnetic conduit AC single-core runs (eddy-current risk)
- Oil-filled / submerged without dedicated design.

Key engineering notes for this size
- Insulation thickness jumps at 185 mm² — it is 1.6 mm (the 120 mm² value of 1.2 mm does not apply here). This is a common design error to avoid.
- Current rating is formation-dependent — single-core 185 mm² in air ranges 510–661 A depending on flat/trefoil/spaced; always state laying method. For budget design, 530 A (air) / 480 A (buried) is conservative.
- Weight is ~1.9 t/km — plan drum handling and tray loading accordingly.
- DC resistance 0.0991 Ω/km is the hard compliance limit (GB/T 3956 Class 2); real cables typically 5–15 % below.
