ZR-YJV 4×50mm² 0.6/1kV Flame Retardant Copper Cable, XLPE Insulation for Building Power Distribution

Product Structure Introduction — ZR-YJV 4×50 mm²
Four-core layered construction description, from conductor to outer sheath · per GB/T 12706.1 & IEC 60502-1 · CU / XLPE / PVC · 0.6/1 kV
1. Cable Overview
ZR-YJV 4×50 is a flame-retarded four-core power cable for 0.6/1 kV AC distribution, of the copper / XLPE / PVC family, designed and tested to GB/T 12706.1 / IEC 60502-1. Conductors comply with GB/T 3956 / IEC 60228, and the flame class follows GB/T 19666 (ZC default). Approx. outside diameter 31.0 mm, weight 2172 kg/km; standard supply on 100 m coils or drums.
With four identical 50 mm² cores, the cable serves three-phase circuits while keeping a full-size neutral for unbalanced or harmonic-bearing loads.
2. Conductor Design
At this section the conductor switches from 7-wire to 10-wire stranding: each core carries ten 2.52 mm annealed copper wires (10/2.52, Class 2), laid to ≈ 8.40 mm diameter. Maximum DC resistance is 0.387 Ω/km at 20 °C. The finer wire division eases bending of the heavier cable and reduces eddy-current loss in AC duty.
3. Dielectric Design
The XLPE insulation wall rises to 1.0 mm in the 50 mm² band, taking each core to ≈ 10.40 mm over insulation. The dielectric handles the routine 3.5 kV AC five-minute proof test, supports 90 °C continuous conductor temperature and 250 °C for five seconds of short-circuit, and shows volume resistivity of at least 1×10¹² Ω·cm.
4. Core Assembly & Jacket
Four insulated cores are twisted around a dry central filler into a round bundle of roughly 25.1 mm, secured with binder tape, then sheathed with 1.8 mm of flame-retarded ST2 PVC to a finished ≈ 31.0 mm. The ZC fire performance is certified through GB/T 18380.12 and GB/T 18380.35; because PVC is halogen-bearing, LSZH projects should specify WDZ-YJY.
5. Field Notes
• Maintain bends of at least 15 × OD.  • Perform the DC 4U0 = 2.4 kV / 15 min site test before switching on.  • Service ambient −20 to +45 °C; warm reels when laying below 0 °C.  • Apply ambient, grouping and burial derating to the quoted ampacity.  • Terminate with lugs sized for the ≈ 8.40 mm core.
