| Two-core layered construction description, from conductor to outer sheath · per GB/T 12706.1 & IEC 60502-1 · CU / XLPE / PVC · 0.6/1 kV | |||
| 1. About This Product | |||
| ZR-YJV 2×70 is a flame-retardant two-core low-voltage distribution cable, 0.6/1 kV AC, following the copper / XLPE / PVC construction family. It is produced to GB/T 12706.1 / IEC 60502-1, with conductors per GB/T 3956 / IEC 60228 and the fire rating per GB/T 19666 (ZC unless otherwise specified). Approx. outside diameter 30.6 mm, weight ≈ 1972 kg/km, shipped in 100 m drums as standard. | |||
| The cable carries a single-phase circuit on two identical live cores and is intended for permanent wiring only. | |||
| 2. Conductor Layer | |||
| Each 70 mm² core is assembled from nineteen 2.14 mm annealed wires in a 1+6+12 concentric lay (19/2.14, Class 2), to a nominal diameter of ≈ 9.9 mm. The maximum DC resistance per core is 0.268 Ω/km at 20 °C. The multi-wire build keeps the heavy section flexible enough for tray and duct installation. | |||
| 3. Insulation Layer | |||
| A 1.1 mm XLPE layer encloses each core and the diameter over insulation reaches ≈ 12.1 mm. The cross-linked dielectric supports 90 °C continuous running, 250 °C for five seconds during faults, volume resistivity of at least 1×10¹² Ω·cm and a routine withstand of 3.5 kV AC for five minutes. | |||
| 4. Cabling & Jacketing | |||
| The two insulated cores are twisted together around a dry filler to give a near-circular bundle of ≈ 24.2 mm, then a 1.8 mm flame-retarded PVC (ST2) jacket is extruded over the bundle to close at ≈ 30.6 mm. Flame retardance ZC is proven through GB/T 18380.12 and GB/T 18380.35; the PVC jacket carries halogen, so WDZ-YJY is the specified choice where zero halogen is required. | |||
| 5. User Guidance | |||
| • Do not bend below 15 × OD on multi-core routes. • Carry out the DC 4U0 = 2.4 kV / 15 min site test before commissioning. • Service ambient −20 to +45 °C; pre-warm reels when pulling below 0 °C. • Apply ambient, grouping and burial derating — the figures are whole-cable ratings. • Confirm lug and gland sizes against the ≈ 9.9 mm core diameter. |
9. Usage Cautions. Bend ≥ 15 × OD; pull by stocking; avoid kinking; protect from UV and impact; run the DC site test before energising; load both cores symmetrically; match lugs to the ≈ 9.9 mm core.

10. Application Range. Single-phase feeders, L+N distribution, sub-boards, pump, HVAC and machine feeders at 0.6/1 kV — conduits, trays, trunking, trenches; indoor or sheltered outdoor.

11. Ordering Information. ZR-YJV 0.6/1 kV 2×70, length, coil/drum type, marking. Standard 100 m; confirm all figures against the factory certificate.
