| Product Structure Introduction — ZR-YJV 4×25 mm² | |||
| Four-core layered construction description, from conductor to outer sheath · per GB/T 12706.1 & IEC 60502-1 · CU / XLPE / PVC · 0.6/1 kV | |||
| 1. Product Role | |||
| ZR-YJV 4×25 is a flame-retardant four-core power cable rated 0.6/1 kV AC, from the copper / XLPE / PVC product family. It is made to GB/T 12706.1 / IEC 60502-1, with conductors per GB/T 3956 / IEC 60228 and the flame class per GB/T 19666 (ZC default). Approx. outside diameter 24.3 mm, weight ≈ 1222 kg/km, supplied on 100 m coils or drums. | |||
| Four equal 25 mm² cores suit three-phase-plus-neutral circuits, typically balanced so the neutral carries only imbalance current. | |||
| 2. Conductor Build-Up | |||
| Each 25 mm² core is stranded from seven 2.14 mm annealed copper wires — 7/2.14 Class 2 — to ≈ 6.40 mm diameter. Maximum DC resistance per core is 0.727 Ω/km at 20 °C. The heavier section still bends acceptably for risers and trunking because of the round stranded construction. | |||
| 3. Insulation Build-Up | |||
| Insulation thickness steps up to 0.9 mm at this size; each core is covered and the diameter over insulation reaches ≈ 8.20 mm. XLPE gives 90 °C continuous service, 250 °C for five seconds under short-circuit, volume resistivity of at least 1×10¹² Ω·cm, and passes a routine 3.5 kV AC, five-minute withstand. | |||
| 4. Assembly & Sheathing | |||
| The four insulated cores are twisted around a central dry filler into a round bundle of ≈ 19.8 mm, held by binder tape. A 1.8 mm flame-retarded PVC (ST2) jacket is extruded over the bundle to close at ≈ 24.3 mm. ZC fire performance is confirmed by GB/T 18380.12 and GB/T 18380.35; as the PVC carries halogen, WDZ-YJY is the right selection for zero-halogen projects. | |||
| 5. Practical Notes | |||
| • Keep bends ≥ 15 × OD. • Carry out the DC 4U0 = 2.4 kV / 15 min site test before energising. • Service ambient −20 to +45 °C; warm reels when pulling below 0 °C. • Apply ambient, grouping and burial derating — ratings are whole-cable values. • Use lugs and glands sized for the ≈ 6.40 mm core. |
9. Usage Cautions. Bend ≥ 15 × OD; pull by stocking; avoid kinking; protect from UV/impact; run the DC site test before energising; balance L1–L3 loads; size lugs for the ≈ 6.40 mm core.

10. Application Range. Three-phase + neutral feeders and sub-distribution at 0.6/1 kV — building mains, distribution boards, HVAC/pump circuits — in conduit, trays, trenches, ducts, trunking; indoor or sheltered outdoor.

11. Ordering Information. ZR-YJV 0.6/1 kV 4×25, length and drum type, marking. Standard 100 m; confirm all figures against the factory test certificate.
