1. Electrical function
Conductive function --- most commodities need better conductive function, and a single commodity needs a certain resistance scale.
Insulation function --- insulation resistance, dielectric coefficient, dielectric loss, electrical resistance, etc.
Transmission characteristics refer to high-frequency transmission characteristics, anti-interference characteristics, etc.
2. Mechanical function
It refers to tensile strength, elongation, bending, elasticity, flexibility, shock resistance, abrasion resistance and mechanical impact resistance.
3. Thermal function
It refers to the temperature resistance grade of the commodity, working temperature, heating and heat dissipation characteristics, current carrying capacity, short circuit and overload capacity, thermal deformation and thermal shock resistance capacity of the constituent materials, thermal expansion of the materials, and dripping function of the impregnated or coated materials of the wires and cables used for power transmission.
4. Corrosion resistance and weather resistance
It refers to electrochemical corrosion resistance, biological and bacterial corrosion resistance, chemical (oil, acid, alkali, chemical solvent, etc.) corrosion resistance, salt fog resistance, light resistance, cold resistance, mold resistance, moisture resistance, etc.
5. Aging function
It refers to the ability of commodities and their constituent materials to adhere to their original functions under the effect of mechanical stress, electrical stress, thermal stress and other external factors, or under the effect of external climatic conditions.
6. Other functions
It includes the characteristics of some materials (such as hardness and creep of metal materials, and compatibility of polymer materials) and some special application characteristics of commodities (such as non flame retardancy, atomic radiation resistance, insect bite resistance, delayed transmission, and energy damping).
